DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ADDIS ABABA BOLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport Enter Ethiopia Tour Operators representative guide wait you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After some rest depending on your arrival time, you have various sightseeing options city tour in Addis Ababa. Visit in Addis Ababa will be the National Museum (prehistoric, cultural, archaeological attractions), and drive to Entoto Mountain - 3000 meter above sea level, Emperor Minelik’s Palace, St. Raguel’s Church. If we have enough time we will visit Merkato. -
DAY 2: ADDIS ABABA - WELISO - JIMMA (345 KM FROM ADDIS)
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Jimma in route you will visit the interesting Gurage people village, and we will pass through beautiful landscapes as you drive through the Gibe River Valley. Later we can visit Jimma Museum and King Abba Jiffar Palace. Lunch will be at Weliso or Welkite and dinner at Hotel. -
DAY 3: JIMMA - BONGA
After an early morning breakfast we will drive to Bonga the birth place of coffee and upon arrival at Bonga, we will visit to a traditional Kaffa house and learn about the culture of the Kaffa people. We will have lunch at Bonga, and drive to Ellelo, Adiyo falls, the Dadiben and Gora Hot spring after that we will visit the cultural open air museum and soon the biosphere reserve information Centre and the national coffee museum are worth a visit. -
DAY 4: BONGA - TREK TO MAKIRA
After an early morning breakfast we trek to the place called mother of coffee. We will head, by car and hike in the Mankira forest to the birth place of Arabica coffee called “Enat Buna”. Having reach to Mankira forest you may travel through the forest on horseback or on foot. Before getting back to Bonga we will have a look to an impressive natural crossing called God’s bridge trekking via 25m narrow path. -
DAY 5: BONGA - MIZAN TEFARI - BEBEKA
Morning after breakfast drive to Mizan Tefari on the way to Bebeka 30 km, check in into Bebeka guest house and take some rest and explore the coffee plantation from seedling to Coffee Bean. Taste the Ethiopian Coffee Arabic at Bebeka. After lunch we start visit the largest and oldest Coffee Plantation in Ethiopia covering some 6,000 hectare. In the late afternoon drive back to MizanTeferi. -
DAY 6: MIZAN TEFERI - JIMMA
In the morning after breakfast you drive back to Jimma. Depending on arrival you can continue a visit to the Jimma attractions. Visit to Jimma museum that displays most of the historical materials of King Abba Jiffar, his kingdom and cultural objects of the local Oromo people and that of the other ethnic groups around Kaffa Visit the historical palace of Sultan Abba Jiffar (1853 - 1925) that is standing at Jiren. Still stands with its colorful architectural beauty. -
DAY 7: DRIVE TO ADDIS ABABA
In the morning, you will have breakfast and drive back to Addis Ababa. You will have lunch at Weliso. You will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon and you will do some shopping for souvenirs. -
DAY 8: ADDIS ABABA - HAWASSA
Drive through the Ethiopian rift valley to Hawassa. On the way you will visit to the Tiya Stelae (90 Km from Addis), listed as UNESCO world heritage site. In the afternoon if we have time we will explore some most interesting birds inhabiting in Lake Hawassa and the surrounding woodlands. -
DAY 9: HAWASSA - YIRGA CHEFFE - HAWASSA
This day we will continue driving to Yerga Cheffe to visit Coffee farm and coffee union projects in Yirga Cheffe. Coffee from Yirga Cheffe in the south has an unusual flavor and is very popular and frequently reviewed and rated as some of the highest quality Arabica coffees in the world. Coffee from Yerga Cheffe is a very alluring coffee. After grinding, you will notice a sweet caramel fragrance. After brewing, you may notice a spicy, pepper note. Late afternoon we drive back to Hawassa for a night stay. -
DAY 10: HAWASSA - ADDIS ABABA
Morning after breakfast drive to Addis Ababa and stop at Ziway town to visit the Lake Ziway, after lunch continue driving to Addis Ababa, will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon and will do some shopping for souvenirs. Finally, will be taken to a farewell dinner depending on your scheduled flight; then you will be transferred out to Bole International Airport for return flight back home.
