Day 01 :

Arrival in Addis Ababa

Welcome to Ethiopia! Our friendly guide will meet you at Bole International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening or a short visit to the National Museum, home of the famous fossil Lucy. Overnight in Addis Ababa.

Day 02 :

Fly to Bahir Dar – Lake Tana & Blue Nile Falls

Morning flight to Bahir Dar, on the shore of Lake Tana. Take a boat trip to visit the centuries-old island monasteries, decorated with colourful religious paintings. In the afternoon, drive to see the Blue Nile Falls, locally called 'Tis Issat' or 'smoking water'. Overnight in Bahir Dar.

Day 03 :

Drive to Gondar – Royal Castles

Scenic drive to Gondar, known as the 'Camelot of Africa'. Explore the Royal Enclosure with its collection of stone castles, visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church with its ceiling of angel faces, and see the Fasilides Bath, still used for Timkat celebrations each year. Overnight in Gondar.

Day 04 :

Fly to Lalibela – Rock-Hewn Churches (Part 1)

Morning flight to Lalibela. Begin exploring the Northwestern group of rock-hewn churches, including Bete Medhane Alem, the largest monolithic church in the world, and Bete Maryam. Your guide will explain the fascinating history and legends behind these 12th-century wonders. Overnight in Lalibela.

Day 05 :

Lalibela – Rock-Hewn Churches (Part 2) & Bete Giyorgis

Continue to the Southeastern cluster of churches, connected by tunnels and trenches carved from solid rock. In the afternoon, visit the iconic Bete Giyorgis (Church of St. George), shaped like a perfect cross and considered the finest of all Lalibela's churches. Overnight in Lalibela.

Day 06 :

Fly to Axum – Ancient Obelisks

Morning flight to Axum, capital of the ancient Aksumite Empire. Visit the towering granite obelisks (stelae), the ruins of the Queen of Sheba's Palace, and the Church of St. Mary of Zion, said to house the Ark of the Covenant. Overnight in Axum.

Day 07 :

Axum Sightseeing & Fly to Addis Ababa

Morning visit to the Northern Stelae Field, King Ezana's Inscription, and the local museum. Afternoon flight back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy a farewell Ethiopian dinner with traditional music and dance. Overnight in Addis Ababa.

Day 08 :

Departure

Depending on your flight time, enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping at a local market before your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
